14 divers are headed out to Curacao later this week. We’ll have a full report when we return later in the month.
* FT Lauderdale wrecks and reefs trip

I made a mistake when I was originally figuring out the dive package pricing
(I must have been using Lehman Bros math)
Anyway the correct cost is $785 pp (best estimate, based on current gas prices)
The dive trip will depart on Wednesday afternoon at 4pm and return Sunday night.
Trip includes Van transportation, 4 nights motel, 9 Ocean dives (wrecks and reefs) and up to two dives at Ginnie Springs. Tanks and fills are included in the price.
We will need to have at least 7 divers sign up to make this trip a go.
The final price may vary depending on gas prices.
* Our 2009 January, February, March and April trips are in the planning stages. These will be announced as soon as we have details. The January trip will be our annual pilgrimage to dive with the manatee in Crystal River, Florida. This is a great trip for the entire family including divers and non-divers. We have some good family rates for the motel and dive package.

“Truk” also known as Chuuk, Micronesia, is undoubtedly the finest wreck diving you can find anywhere in the world. This trip is the wreck trip of a lifetime!
Exact departure dates and cost are not finalized and will not be available until next year. Estimated costs are between $5500 - $5800 pp. The trip will include all airfare, transfers and overnight stays in either Hawaii or Guam.
We’ll be on the Odyssey Live-Aboard and the Odyssey is a GREAT all inclusive dive charter with only our group taking the entire boat. There are only 16 spots open for this trip, so if Truk is on your bucket list, don’t delay calling and reserving your spot.

We said our goodbyes and sent Rachel off to California yesterday. She will be working near San Diego conducting Sea Lion research. We wish her the best of luck with her new endeavor.
Lake temps are still in the mid 70s and plenty of time left to dive before Jocassee turns colder. Come out and join us this Saturday on the boat for a 2pm dive trip to the wall.
