TRIPS
BONAIRE trip report
This was a fantastic trip. The diving was great as usual in Divers Paradise.
A group of 4 tech divers dove the famous Windjammer wreck, another group of adventurous divers enjoyed a 20 minute trek over the waves to enjoy a dive on the wild east side, accompanied by Eagle rays on most of the dive, and 61 Bermuda Triangle divers invaded almost every dive site on the Island. All in all, a great week of fun, food, sun, great diving and many new friendships.
Bermuda Triangle definitely left our mark on Buddy Dive and Bonaire
For next July we are already planning a return trip to Bonaire for a Kids Sea Camp. This is something we have long wanted to do and I have 2 grandkids that are dying to go.
Start making plans now!!!
MOREHEAD CITY July 25 27 (trip is full)
WILMINGTON Sept 26 28 (trip is full)
CURACAO Oct 11 18, 2008
We are closing in on 90 days away from trip date. We have plenty of spots available and will be taking reservations as long as resort space and airfare is available.
Curacao diving is very similar to Bonaire. Easy beach and shore diving is available on Curacao and there are numerous topside activities to keep non-divers and those that arent severe dive addicts happy. The Lions Dive Resort is located just in front of the Curacao Sea Aquarium and offers free access to Sea Aquarium Park & the Dolphin Academy. Body Beach Wellness Club is also free to Lions Guests.
The resort offers free shuttle service to Willemstad. Lions Dive also has 2 restaurants on site and is next door to Breezes Club Resort and Mambo Beach Club.
Call the shop for trip details and room pricing. Check out the Resort Website for info.

I pulled the following quote off the Undercurrents monthly news. Its good advice to check flight status and always be prepared to pay a little extra to get to your destination. Rising prices doesnt mean you have to cancel travel plans, you just have to prepare a little better and earlier. Plenty of bargain travel out there and we are always trying to give our dive travelers the most DIVES for their buck!
Caribbean Flight Alert from Undercurrents : If you're holding tickets to anywhere in the Caribbean, reconfirm those flights right up to your departure day. The rising cost of jet fuel will seriously affect the Caribbean because floundering American Airlines controls much of the market; for example, it will cut daily flights out of San Juan from 93 to 51. Spirit Airlines will close its San Juan hub, and Continental Airlines will soon announce destination and flight cuts. Smaller islands are asking LIAT and Air Jamaica to increase flights and coordinate schedules to fill the gaps. On the bright side, JetBlue plans to add daily flights to Puerto Rico this fall, and Virgin Atlantic may also add extra U.S. flights to the Caribbean.
